UNC2016Camp / Day01 with Leadership Outdoor at Kakani

DAY01 / WARM UP

The first 2 days of the camp we collaborated with Leadership Corner (LC) at Kakani, which enabled us to introduce INNOCO and participate in an existing youth leadership program. It was a great opportunity to witness youth leading other youth building confidence, motivation, and skills towards empowerment.

Through earlier collaborative efforts with VIN, CHOICE and LC, INNOCO sponsored 12 youth to the Leadership Outdoor programme. At Kakani, we met and interacted with 46 spirited youth who were in the age range of 18 to 29 years old, from different Nepali regions and with various educational backgrounds.

LC organised an intense but truly rewarding day with team building and leadership coaching activities. We had the opportunity on this day to introduce the INNOCO team  and to capture the youth's attention to learn about UAE/NEPAL/CONNECT (UNC) and the first important concept of ME = WE.

For a better practical understanding of the ME concept; INNOCO introduced the "Pie of Life". This is an activity where each participant shaded their personal performance in life , hence getting a sense of "ME" and it was followed by the "Line Game", where they realized how much they had in common with others , being "WE". The night ended with a memorable camp fire reflection, where Abdus Miya (Founder of LC) shared a narrative that led to critical thinking and sharing of perspectives.
